about shabbs
where did it all start? well, i suspect it all begain at carleton university. i was doing my undergraduate
degree in civil engineering and at the time, my favourite phrase was "not too shabby". everything was "not
too shabby" and people just started calling me shabby. eventually it transformed into shabbs, and that has stuck
ever since. i think some people don't even know my real name since i'm always introduced as 'shabby' or 'shabbs'.
i'm now living in toronto and loving it. i've been here almost 3 years. toronto is a huge city and it has a ton of stuff to offer. it also
has a ton of traffic and everything is a little more expensive. i used to live in ottawa so that was quite a
change of scene.
some vital statistics: favourite colour: blue; favourite number: 5; favourite food: steak; favourite drink: beer;
favourite wine: cabernet franc or a shiraz; three tattoo's; two piercings; a geek on the inside, a rugby player on
the outside.

what is a shabbs? by definition, the term shabby means "showing signs of wear and tear". i guess
that could be said about me, especially after 13 years of rugby, 2 broken noses, one broken collar bone,
one sprained mcl and many many many nicks, cuts, bruises, muscle pulls...
