happy st. patrick's day!

st. patrick's day 2003 - let the party rock

the past few years, st. patty's day here in toronto has been quite the blast. it's usually celebrated in style by myself, my girlfriend nikki, two good friends of mine: jason and steve along with a host of people that we meet downtown. we always have a blast painting the town red and green. the main even occurs down on the esplanade at the bier markt. quite a sweet brew pub with a large selection of beer on tap and great live music. the esplanade has quite a few bars to choose from including one of my favourites, fionn maccool's irish pub. it's always super busy on st. patty's day weekends.

in an effort to continue the tradition, we shall be having a reunion here in toronto to once again celebrate this lovely holiday, even though none of us are irish. heh heh. we just like to drink, lots.

in order to keep the hype going, i have put up a timer counting down the days, hours, minutes, seconds until st. patrick's day (1:00am monday morning on march 17th, 2003 to be precise).

feel like joining in on our celebration? then come on down! drop me a line and i'll fill you in on the details.

cheers.

st. patty's day?

do you know who st. patrick really was? he was born in britain and up until age 16 considered himself a pagan. he was taken prisnor by the irish who were attacking his family's estate. after he escaped his prisnor's he experienced several revelations leading him to become a priest and return to ireland with two missions: minister the christians already in ireland and to begin to convert the irish to christianity.
