my music
i thought i'd put up a page here about the music i like, and dislike. over the years my tastes have changed
quite a bit. in high school when all my friends were into u2, morrisey, pink floyd, the smiths etc... i was
getting into rap. i have no idea why but i was. i was into groups like run dmc, ice t, nwa, boogie down
productions, eric b. and rakim, and the like. i guess i didn't follow the herd back then. so be it.
even now my music taste varies quite a bit. i like bands from all over the map. metal, rock, heavy rock,
industrial, punk, trance, hip hop, club, house, jazz, blues, and the list goes on. different music for
different situations. for example: when i'm at the gym i like to listen to trance since it's a fast constant
beat and keeps you busy. when i'm relaxing at home i like to listen to some miles davis or john coltrane. in my
truck i usually have some industrial or rock cd's. i'm all over the map.
luckily for me, being in Torono give me access to quite a few bands and good music.
the edge 102 plays a lot varied music and is a great
radio station to listen to for exposure to new rock. the edge has a great series on the history of music called
the ongoing history. it's
topics vary from new music, rock, canadian music etc...
bands i'm currently listening to quite regularly:
- st. germain
- nickleback
- the watchmen
- moby
- king cobb steely
- linkin park
bands i'd love to see live that i have not had the chance to:
- nine inch nails
- stone temple pilots
- prince
- korn
- godsmack
- u2
- crystal method
- chemical brothers

live bands
here are some five live bands that i've seen that i totally loved and would highly recommend to anyone there. in no particular order:
- headstones
- the watchmen
- matthew good
- stabbing westward
- tragically hip
in my opinion, the smaller the venue, the better the experience.
